ABOUT ME
When I first started college, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to be good at. I struggled with getting involved and finding my true passion. I knew I liked media, but I had no idea what I wanted my focus to be. So I took a step back and broke down what I genuinely loved.
I realized I’ve always been drawn to live entertainment like festivals, concerts, sporting events or just anything with energy and a crowd. I was fascinated not just by being a fan, but by what happened behind the scenes. How was the stage set? How was every minute of a show timed in advance? Who created the graphics on the jumbotron? Who came up with the in-game and in-arena entertainment? That curiosity made me realize that I didn’t just want to attend these events but rather I wanted to work in those environments.
Even though it took me two years in college to fully discover what I wanted to pursue, I took the initiative and worked hard toward that goal. That’s when I added a minor in Sport Management and started building experience in communication, media, and sport management.
I love the thrill of it all. I love the fast pace, the coordination, the creativity, and the teamwork it takes to bring events to life. Now, as a soon-to-be graduate, I’ve found my passion and I'm ready to pursue a career in communication, entertainment, media, and operations.
Going from a shy first-year student to where I am now, I can truly say I’ve built myself up and created a brand for who I am. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s never too late to find your passion. Do I wish I had gotten involved earlier? Maybe. But the journey I took helped me truly find my place and that’s what matters most.
